Gate pioneered the PoSEC fund security certification, with a cold storage coverage rate of 104.58%, enhancing security guarantees

According to the official announcement, Gate has officially launched a new Proof of Security (PoSEC), becoming the first digital asset trading platform in the industry to propose a PoSEC security certification system, extending security verification from reserve adequacy to asset storage structure and risk protection.According to Gate's official page, as of the snapshot on November 4 at 08:00 (UTC+8), the platform's cold storage coverage rate reached 104.58%, with cold storage and hot wallet asset ratios being 88.26% and 11.74%, respectively. This means that according to the corresponding statistical criteria, even if all hot wallet assets are lost, cold storage can still cover all user assets. Currently, this data is being verified by an independent third-party auditing agency, and the report will be published on the official website once completed. In 2020, Gate was the first to launch an open-source Proof of Reserves (PoR) related program, and has since continued to strengthen a multi-layered security system that includes mechanisms such as the separation of cold and hot wallets, multi-signature, multi-party secure computation (MPC), and dynamic risk monitoring. The introduction of PoSEC further extends the verification of fund security from reserve adequacy to storage safety and extreme risk coverage capability, providing a new practical path for establishing a more comprehensive and transparent fund security standard for the industry.

first_img OpenAI grants free API credits to ChatGPT Pro and Business

OpenAI documentation shows that eligible ChatGPT Pro and Business subscriptions can receive free API credits for building applications and agents within their own API organization. The credits are automatically issued based on the subscription, and any unused portion expires at the end of the billing cycle without carrying over; when there are valid free credits, there is no need to bind an API payment method. In terms of monthly credits, Pro's tiers of $100, $200, and $500 correspond to $100, $200, and $500 respectively; Business Standard provides $20 per paid seat, and Business Premium provides $100 per paid seat. The initial issuance is calculated proportionally based on the remaining time in the current subscription billing cycle and expires at the end of that cycle. Business API credits are shared within the workspace, with a monthly cap of $500; annual payment workspaces receive a one-time issuance of the annual credits, which expire at the end of the annual billing cycle. Users must log in to ChatGPT with an eligible subscription account, with Pro credits claimed in Settings under Billing, and Business credits claimed in the workspace billing settings or Admin Console, confirming the API organization receiving the credits. The credits cover the paid usage of associated organizations on the API Platform, including Responses API, Agents API, Decisions API, GPT-Live and Realtime API, Images API, as well as built-in tools and related costs such as web search, document search, and Code Interpreter. Using Codex via API key is not included in the benefits, and the credits will not increase the usage limits for ChatGPT or Codex that is already logged in. Free credits are prioritized over purchased credits; when exhausted and no remaining credits are available, requests will fail with HTTP 429 and error code credit_balance_exhausted.

first_img The Dutch central bank granted Qivalis an electronic money institution license to issue a euro stablecoin

According to CoinDesk, the consortium Qivalis, supported by 37 major European banks, announced that the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) has granted it an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, bringing it closer to issuing Euro-denominated electronic money tokens (EMT). The Amsterdam-based company still needs to meet the remaining requirements of the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), including publishing a white paper, in order to issue the token in the coming months. This license enables Qivalis to provide a blockchain-based method for transferring Euros for banks and payment institutions. Qivalis plans to distribute its tokens through banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, and payment service providers, rather than directly to consumers. Since its establishment in September 2025, the consortium has expanded to 37 European banks, including BBVA, BNP Paribas, ING, and DZ Bank, and has chosen Fireblocks to provide digital asset infrastructure.According to MiCA regulations, EMTs are classified as stablecoins, but not all stablecoins are EMTs. EMTs are pegged to a single fiat currency and must be issued by authorized credit institutions or electronic money institutions, with holders having legal claims to them and the right to redeem them at face value at any time, and EMTs cannot pay interest.Qivalis CEO Jan-Oliver Sell stated that the currency in Europe should be carried on-chain by European rules, and Europe should have Euro-denominated on-chain settlement assets issued under European law and subject to European regulatory standards.
