first_img TSMC plans to build a second campus in Texas, with an estimated investment exceeding Arizona

According to the Economic Daily, citing sources from the semiconductor equipment industry, TSMC plans to expand its manufacturing presence in the United States. Following Arizona, it is set to initiate plans for a second park in the U.S., with a high likelihood of establishing six advanced wafer fabs in Dallas, Texas. Reports indicate that if the second park is launched, the total investment is expected to exceed the $265 billion in Arizona, linking Arizona's wafer manufacturing with Texas's advanced ecosystem. As of September 28, the reporter has not received a response from TSMC; supply chain operators stated that the owner has not yet notified preparations, and the board has not yet made a decision. The total investment in TSMC's wafer fab in Phoenix, Arizona, has now increased to $265 billion, with plans including six wafer fabs, two advanced packaging plants, and a research and development center. Reports suggest that TSMC's considerations for increasing its overseas presence include proximity to customers, diversification of geopolitical risks, and overcoming resource limitations such as land, water, and electricity in Taiwan. U.S. customers accounted for approximately 75.64% of TSMC's revenue in the first half of 2026.There are widespread rumors in the industry that TSMC is responding to demands from customers like NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, and Apple for local production in the U.S., while facing pressure from the U.S. government, which has threatened that chip manufacturers must relocate back to the U.S. or face tariffs of up to 200%. Dallas and North Texas are known as the "Silicon Prairie," with local factories established by Texas Instruments, Coherent, Samsung, and Tesla. Reports indicate that the Arizona facility still faces challenges such as water shortages, power shortages, and labor shortages, while Texas offers talent, lower tax burdens, and stable electricity, leading supply chain operators to believe that site evaluations are nearing completion.

DeepQA launches Arc Campaign: 11 Agent QAs for Arc ecosystem applications completed in 16 hours, powered by WORLD3 and Google Cloud Vertex AI

On September 16, the day Circle Arc's mainnet went live, the AI Agent quality assurance product DeepQA released the Arc Campaign, completing public QA for 11 ecological applications on the Arc testnet and publishing all 13 reports on the official website in a collection format. From the initiation of the project to the public release of reports for all 11 applications, it took about 16 hours.Real-time data from the official website shows that this event executed a total of 141 test scenarios, of which 117 passed, confirming 15 issues. The Critic Agent conducted real-time reviews 30 times, retaining 141 scenarios, 436 screenshots, approximately 2,200 model calls, and 16.9 million tokens. The covered applications include the Arc official testnet browser, Tower Exchange, AchSwap, Machina Bridge, OmniHub, ArcFX, SettleOne, Syn DAO, thirdweb Arc Testnet, ChainGPT Pad, and Karwan. All tests were conducted in real browsers on live applications, with the injected test wallets holding only testnet funds and no real funds used. The backend of DeepQA is powered by WORLD3 and Google Cloud Vertex AI. A group of AI Agents completed exploration, planning, testing, and reporting, with each issue accompanied by screenshot evidence, and only released after being audited and reviewed in real-time by the Critic Agent. The team stated that a decentralized QA network is also in progress, which will prioritize support for the Arc ecosystem.

Mysterious account makes precise bets on airstrikes against Iran, Trump camp embroiled in "insider trading" allegations

According to Jinshi reports, last weekend, due to the closure of global traditional financial markets, a large amount of capital flowed into prediction markets such as Polymarket and Kalshi, as well as decentralized exchanges like Hyperliquid. Investors attempted to hedge risks or speculate on the subsequent impacts of the U.S.-Israel attacks on Iran through these platforms. However, this capital frenzy quickly evolved into a public opinion storm. On Saturday, a wave of skepticism emerged on the social platform X, accusing some insiders of profiting significantly in the prediction markets by leveraging their advance knowledge of military strikes. In response to the criticism, a White House spokesperson argued to the media that "the only special interest guiding the Trump administration's decisions is the best interest of the American people." In fact, actions against insider betting leveraging international conflicts have already been initiated in some regions around the world. In the face of accusations, Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour defended that they would refund all fees incurred by users participating in the controversial markets, and positions established before Khamenei's death would be forcibly settled at the last trading price. However, this "forced liquidation" decision did not quell the storm; many users instead complained on social media that they had been misled by the platform.
