Douyin internal testing AI workshop, the recommendation page adds interest card display for AI applications

Douyin is currently conducting an internal test of the AI Workshop, aimed at ordinary creators and developers, providing a complete link from AI application building, debugging, and operation to platform distribution, deeply integrating with Douyin's internal traffic system. The AI development framework, interface capabilities, and cloud storage services are all built into the creator's backend. The Douyin App's recommendation page has added a new content form interest card, used to showcase AI applications created in the AI Workshop. Users can directly interact with these cards while browsing the recommendation page, without needing to switch to a mini-program or leave the main app, allowing them to complete Q&A queries, fun interactions, and light tool experiences within the information flow. The interest card relies on Douyin's personalized recommendation distribution, supporting custom gameplay and styles.Creators who do not understand coding can use natural language to describe their ideas for building, while technically skilled developers can modify underlying files for deep customization. Debugging, real-device preview, and publishing can all be completed in the same environment. The produced works can be directly converted into interest cards for placement in the recommendation stream. This product is currently in the invitation-only internal testing phase.

Tria launches Season 3 event, introducing points and blind box unlocking mechanism

The new cryptocurrency bank and non-custodial financial application Tria officially announced the launch of Season 3 activities, introducing a brand new framework for earning points and unlocking rewards for users. Users can earn Tria points through card spending, futures trading, referring friends, and first-time product interactions. Accumulating points to reach specific thresholds will unlock blind boxes ranging from entry-level to legendary and even hidden infinite levels, and the unlocking process will not consume existing points. All blind boxes will be opened at the end of each month starting from August 31, with rewards including cash back, travel points, ecosystem rewards, and exclusive Tria equity lottery qualifications for higher tiers. In addition, this season has simultaneously upgraded the referral and cash back system. Referral levels will strictly promote between bronze, silver, and gold based on the number of active users invited; the credit card cash back mechanism has clarified the monthly limit, and spending beyond the limit can still earn cash back at the base rate. The platform is currently offering a limited-time free virtual card service. The official revealed that Tria plans to gradually launch new functional modules during Season 3, including Tria Travel (travel and real-life experiences), trading competitions, trader VIP badges, and fiat currency withdrawal and recharge.

a16z Crypto proposed five recommendations for market regulation: the framework should not be overly conservative, and the CFTC should implement unified regulation

Miles Jennings, the policy head and general counsel of a16z Crypto, and others wrote "Getting prediction market regulation right," which points out that the current push by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to reform the regulatory framework for prediction markets is at a critical juncture, as prediction markets are transitioning from niche products to important infrastructure. With the integration of AI and blockchain-driven new risk management models, prediction markets can enable AI agents to automatically hedge risks, adjust on-chain event contract positions in real-time, and play a core role in risk management, information aggregation, and authenticity judgment. a16z Crypto believes that if the regulatory framework is too conservative, it will limit the development potential of prediction markets. Therefore, they have submitted a comment letter providing opinions on key issues such as the application of statutory core principles and CFTC regulations in prediction markets, and public interest considerations related to event contracts. They also proposed five regulatory recommendations for prediction markets, including: the CFTC implementing unified regulatory authority over event contracts, optimizing contract dispute resolution mechanisms, strengthening monitoring of insider trading and market manipulation, re-evaluating "special rules," and exploring clearer compliance pathways for on-chain prediction markets.
