Marvell launches AI "memory decoupling" architecture to address the bandwidth bottleneck of Agentic AI inference

According to official news, Marvell Technology announced the launch of a new generation of memory solution portfolio for AI infrastructure, covering server-level AI storage, rack-level CXL memory expansion and pooling, as well as multi-rack optical interconnect shared memory, aimed at addressing the growing memory capacity and bandwidth bottlenecks in Agentic AI inference processes.Marvell stated that as AI model sizes increase, context windows extend, and KV Cache demand grows, traditional tightly coupled architectures of computing and memory are limiting AI inference efficiency. Through memory disaggregation, memory resources can be made more independent of computing resource expansion, improving GPU utilization and reducing data movement latency. The products released include:Bravera SC6 PCIe 6.0 SSD controller: Designed for AI inference storage scenarios, it helps cloud service providers migrate more KV Cache to high-performance SSDs, enhancing infrastructure efficiency. This product features an architecture compatible with multi-vendor NAND and is expected to begin sampling in the fourth quarter of 2026.Marvell Structera X memory expansion solution: Based on CXL technology, it supports rack-level memory expansion and resource pooling, helping data centers share and allocate memory resources more flexibly, reducing AI infrastructure costs.Marvell Photonic Fabric optical interconnect memory solution: Constructs a shared memory architecture across multiple racks using optical interconnect technology, supporting up to 32TB warm KV Cache offloading and helping AI inference clusters enhance throughput capacity.Marvell stated that the Photonic Fabric solution can achieve a 2 to 3 times increase in Token throughput under existing data center space and power consumption constraints, supporting larger scale models and longer context AI applications.Marvell executive Will Chu stated that AI infrastructure is transitioning from a single server architecture to a system where computing, memory, and connectivity operate in synergy, and in the future, memory needs to expand more independently to enhance resource utilization and Token efficiency. As the demand for AI Agents and large model inference continues to grow, memory capacity, bandwidth, and data transfer efficiency are becoming new focal points of competition in AI infrastructure, following computing power.

first_img Bloomberg: The growth of the cryptocurrency industry is decoupling from Bitcoin prices, with institutions focusing on long-term infrastructure and practical use cases

According to Bloomberg, Bitcoin fell below $60,000 last week, with a market value evaporating by about $235 billion within seven days, nearly halving from last year's peak. The market value of altcoins has shrunk from a peak of $431 billion in November 2021 to about $170 billion, with less than 1,700 of the tens of millions of tokens created in recent years still having substantial trading activity. However, in stark contrast to the price trends, the most commercially valuable businesses in the crypto industry are accelerating growth. The annual trading volume of stablecoins reached about $390 billion, with total trading volume soaring 72% to $33 trillion by 2025. Over $30 billion in assets have been tokenized, and BlackRock's tokenized money market fund BUIDL has an asset size of $2.4 billion. Visa and Mastercard are expanding stablecoin settlement capabilities, and Nasdaq is collaborating with Kraken to offer tokenized stocks.Bloomberg Intelligence's Mike McGlone stated that the most important technology is stablecoins; when you have stablecoins, you don't need XRP or Bitcoin to store value. We are experiencing a cleansing, and this has only just begun. EMJ Capital founder Eric Jackson pointed out that "the Bitcoin price chart used to be the entire crypto story, but it is no longer."

The decoupling of cryptocurrencies from U.S. stocks is intensifying, with the S&P 500 rising for nine consecutive weeks to a new high, while Bitcoin and Ethereum continue to decline on a weekly basis

Driven by optimistic expectations for an extended ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran, the U.S. stock and oil markets continued to strengthen this week. The S&P 500 index rose for the ninth consecutive week, setting the longest winning streak since 2023; Brent crude oil stabilized around $92 per barrel. However, the cryptocurrency market failed to follow the rise of macro risk assets. Over the past week, Bitcoin fell 2.6% to $73,445, Ethereum dropped 2.5% to $2,011, Solana decreased by 2.2%, and TRX saw a decline of 5.6%, making it one of the weakest tokens among the top ten cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Market analysts believe that the cooling inflow of funds into spot Bitcoin ETFs is putting pressure on coin prices. In contrast, some small and mid-cap tokens performed remarkably well. Among them, the native token of Hyperliquid, HYPE, surged 19.4% this week to around $65, becoming the biggest highlight in the market. Previously, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) CEO Jeffrey Sprecher referred to Hyperliquid as "a bigger opportunity than Nasdaq" at the Bernstein conference, further boosting market sentiment. Additionally, BNB rose 1.9% this week, XRP increased by 0.7%, and DOGE remained basically flat.On the macro level, U.S. President Trump stated that a final decision on the U.S.-Iran ceasefire memorandum is close, but he still insists on Iran abandoning its nuclear program, handing over its enriched uranium stockpile, and opening the Strait of Hormuz. Market participants believe that due to significant differences between the two sides on key issues, the current rebound in risk assets remains relatively fragile, and any negative news regarding the Iran negotiations could trigger a reversal in market sentiment.
