Garrett Jin: Hynix has rebounded to the profit-taking zone, planning to buy on Bitcoin's pullback, and be cautious of the remaining unlocks after SpaceX's short squeeze

Garrett Jin released this week's market report, characterizing the rebound in the South Korean market as a wide-ranging fluctuation rather than a new trend. SK Hynix rebounded continuously after retesting the 1.42 million won area, closing up 5.9% at 1,593,000 won. The KOSPI has risen 20% from the July low, entering a technical bull market, but foreign capital has not shifted to long-term holdings, and the drag from leveraged ETFs remains. Garrett Jin set the first profit-taking level at $1,150 (approximately 1.63 million won), with the next target at $1,300 (1.85 million won).Garrett Jin also noted that gold recorded its strongest weekly gain since January this week at +7.8%, priced at $4,388. The driving factors were a decrease of 23,000 in July non-farm payrolls and a moderate CPI that dampened September rate hike expectations. However, it is currently overbought in the short term, and a pullback could present an opportunity for incremental accumulation. Bitcoin has shown no response to the same macro-positive factors, remaining trapped between the support at $62,500 and resistance at $65,000-$70,000, with the bottom structure since $57,700 gradually being built. Garrett Jin will wait for the next buying opportunity after a pullback.Regarding SpaceX, Garrett Jin believes the recent performance is a classic case of "bad news fully priced in + short squeeze," with the unlocking itself becoming a washout rather than the starting point of a decline. However, the unlocking window has not yet ended, with an additional 319 million shares to be unlocked, approximately 700 million shares each in September and October. The current range up to $160 is a profit-taking zone rather than a high-entry zone.

hot_img Israeli AI startup Decart is negotiating a sale with an estimated valuation of around $6-7 billion, with SpaceX and Amazon identified as potential buyers

According to exclusive reports from CTech (Calcalist), Israeli AI startup Decart is in deep negotiations with an international tech giant for a sale, with a valuation of about $6 to $7 billion, and the deal could be signed next week. Founded in 2023, Decart focuses on the development of real-time video generation AI models, employing around 100 people, and has raised approximately $450 million to date. The company just completed a $300 million funding round in May, with a valuation of $4 billion. Initial negotiations were with NVIDIA, and as they were nearing an agreement, another giant intervened, prompting the founder to shift focus to the new buyer. Industry speculation suggests the new buyer could be SpaceX, but Amazon and Nebius are also reportedly interested in participating.Decart's technological advantage lies in its ability to generate videos at a cost far lower than its competitors. SpaceX founder Elon Musk has maintained regular contact with co-founder Dean Leitersdorf since experiencing the game Oasis developed based on Decart's technology in 2024. Sequoia Capital partner Shaun Maguire (who organized Musk's post-war trip to Israel) has been investing in the company since the seed round. If the buyer is SpaceX, it will establish its first R&D center in Israel. Previously, SpaceX had acquired AI programming startup Cursor for $60 billion after its IPO, and acquiring Decart would further strengthen its position in the AI infrastructure sector.

hot_img SemiAnalysis: SpaceX may complete a 10GW data center by 2027, with expected inference revenue reaching $300 billion

Research institution SemiAnalysis released an analysis stating that SpaceX is expected to build approximately 10GW of AI data center capacity by the end of 2027. If 50% of this is used for inference services, with annual revenue exceeding $10 billion per GW, the annualized revenue could reach $300 billion. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated in the first earnings report that a "conservative estimate" suggests an additional 6-8GW will be added in 2027, with the actual figure possibly exceeding 10GW.SemiAnalysis's inference simulator shows that when running on the GB300 cluster at current startup cloud prices (about $3/GPU hour), leading model companies like OpenAI and Anthropic could generate annual inference revenue exceeding $10 billion per GW, with annual costs around $12 billion. Microsoft, with full access to OpenAI models and without bearing training costs, can also capture revenue of the same scale. The analysis points out that Microsoft has signed contracts for 10GW of data centers (total value exceeding $300 billion) since 2026, with a 90-day cancellation clause, significantly reducing signing risks.Regarding SpaceX's construction progress, SemiAnalysis believes Musk will significantly shorten the construction cycle by using onsite gas power generation, bypassing large power transformers, parallel construction, and shortening the debugging process. The Southaven plant in Tennessee expanded from 27 turbines (approximately 495MW) in February to 69 turbines (1.7GW) in July, and the "MiniHard" project can be completed in about 5 months with 450-500MW. However, the 10GW target still faces multiple challenges such as land approvals, gas supply, and equipment delivery. This analysis is based on model simulations, and actual implementation still carries uncertainties.
