Aave founder responds to rumors of Payward acquisition, will not sell AAVE at a 70% discount

Aave founder Stani Kulechov responded to reports regarding Kraken's parent company Payward's intention to acquire a 15% stake in the Aave protocol, stating that AAVE "cannot be sold at a 70% discount." Previously, CoinDesk reported that Payward was negotiating to acquire a 15% stake in Aave at a valuation of $385 million. Based on this valuation, it would only correspond to about 30% of the fully diluted valuation of AAVE tokens, which is significantly lower than the market valuation.Kulechov stated on X that the reports were not accurate. He did not completely deny that Aave Labs might sell some of its held AAVE tokens, but he mentioned that Aave Labs does indeed hold a certain amount of AAVE and that several market participants have discussed purchasing through direct or indirect means or engaging in deeper cooperation around long-term partnerships. Aave is the largest decentralized lending protocol in the Ethereum ecosystem. Kulechov stated that Aave currently has an annual revenue of approximately $134 million, with the related revenue flowing to Aave DAO. He had previously proposed a governance plan to redirect Aave Labs, protocol, and product revenues to Aave DAO and token holders. At the time of this rumor, Aave was experiencing some pressure. After the Kelp DAO incident in April, Aave's TVL significantly declined. Although Aave itself was not directly attacked, the KelpDAO cross-chain bridge attackers had used Aave to convert the stolen rsETH into other assets.

Peter Thiel's Mystical Society Dark Rating Exposed: Big Shots are Divided into Three, Six, and Nine Grades, with C Grade at the Top and A Grade at the Bottom, Prices Discounted Based on Fame

According to an analysis of the latest leaked data by WIRED, the secretive society Dialog, co-founded by Peter Thiel, has an extremely ruthless and biased "grading and elimination" mechanism.Dialog implements a secret rule of "rating upon entry." Although the club has thousands of members, only 192 personal profiles (including 130 formal members and some candidates) were leaked and reviewed by WIRED. They reveal the club's counterintuitive hierarchy of disdain: C-level is the highest VIP, B-level is the overwhelming majority of ordinary members, while the A-level, usually regarded as the best, is actually the least known bottom tier. This rating is directly tied to members' wallets. Only about 25% of VIP "C" level big shots are required to pay the full attendance fee, while among the bottom "A" level members, the proportion paying the full attendance fee of tens of thousands of dollars is as high as 70%.Ironically, the AI screening mechanism introduced by Dialog is extremely superstitious about so-called "national recognition." For example, actor Josh Brolin, who played "Thanos," has never attended but wins VIP "C" level status due to box office success and millions of fans; meanwhile, academic giant Tyler Cowen was deemed "not famous enough among ordinary people" by the AI and nearly classified into the ordinary tier, only barely promoted to C-level through human intervention. The "value-added points" serve as a scythe for eliminating "useless people," specifically measuring members' resource connections and intellectual contributions to other club giants. After each gathering, staff review members' performances like "code review," and those with too low value-added points, cultural mismatches, or declining visibility will be ruthlessly removed from the invitation list.Additionally, the leaked database also exposed its built-in social and dating matching system (10% of members join the singles pool), which has a "no-match list" while recommending pairings. This so-called objective assessment system is also filled with biases: women make up one-third of the members but only receive 18% of VIP seats; politically, it is even harder to escape differential treatment. Although more than half of the members identify as "left-leaning," the probability of "right-leaning" members obtaining VIP status is more than twice that of left-leaning members, and even the "left-leaning" label of an environmental leader was forcibly rewritten to "right-leaning" by staff in the background.

Australia considers reforming capital gains tax, eliminating the 50% discount, which may increase the tax burden on cryptocurrency investments

Australia is considering significant reforms to its Capital Gains Tax (CGT) system, planning to replace the current 50% tax discount policy for long-term held assets with an "inflation-indexed" mechanism, covering investment categories such as cryptocurrencies and stocks. The current system allows individuals to be taxed only on 50% of the capital gains if they hold the asset for more than a year, a policy that has been in place since 1999.If the reform is implemented, investors will calculate their gains based on inflation-adjusted cost bases, which may lead to an increase in actual tax burdens during periods of rapid asset price increases. According to the proposal's logic, the new mechanism will only tax "real gains" (the portion after excluding the effects of inflation), but in a low-inflation environment, the indexed deduction may be lower than the current 50% discount, resulting in increased tax burdens for most investors. The impact on cryptocurrency investors is particularly pronounced. The current "hold to reduce tax" mechanism reinforces long-term holding (HODL) strategies, while the new proposal will weaken the advantage of time holding, significantly increasing the tax burden on unrealized gains during periods of high appreciation. The proposal is still in the discussion stage and is expected to face strong opposition from investor groups and the financial industry, with the focus of the controversy centered on the balance between capital formation efficiency and tax system fairness.

The Humanity Foundation announced adjustments to the H token vesting plan and set a deadline, with some institutions publicly disclosing their choice to unlock at a discount immediately

The Humanity Foundation has recently made significant adjustments to the $H token allocation plan, requiring investors to make a final choice between two options by April 26 at 09:00 UTC: one, extend the distribution, pushing the Cliff to September 25, 2026, and changing to equal distribution over 12 quarters; two, a 3:10 discounted immediate unlock, replacing the original 16,666,666 tokens with 5,000,000 $H (a 70% reduction), to be fully distributed on June 25, 2026.It is understood that the Humanity Foundation has sent adjustment notifications to over 100 investors. Early investment firm Trix Ventures has publicly disclosed its choice of the discounted immediate unlock. It is reported that this firm invested during the project's valuation phase of approximately $60 million, and even after the 3:10 discounted replacement, it can still achieve about 7 times return. Notably, the Humanity Protocol previously reached an in-depth cooperation with payment giant Mastercard, and the project's fundamentals have received endorsement from traditional financial institutions. The on-chain identity verification sector it belongs to is currently in its early market stage, but with the continuous expansion of AI-generated content and automated accounts, the demand for on-chain real identity verification is widely believed to grow exponentially, giving this sector long-term potential to become a leading project in the Web3 infrastructure field. The project is about to face a test of significant selling pressure from a one-time massive unlock, and whether it can grow explosively alongside the AI sector is crucial. Analysts point out that choosing the one-time unlock on June 25 is a safer decision. In the current market cycle, "certain liquidity" far outweighs paper numbers. The deferred plan extends the cycle to 3 years, with huge uncertainties regarding the protocol's survival and team stability. From a market structure perspective, June 25 faces obvious concentrated selling pressure risks: the Sablier contract release node is transparent on-chain, and quantitative and short-selling funds will precisely target this node; institutions may lock in profits by hedging in advance during the two-month window; market makers may withdraw buy depth in advance, causing the actual realization value to be less than 10% of the nominal value. Historically, large-scale concentrated unlocks of Starknet (STRK) and ApeCoin (APE) have triggered severe selling pressure, with the former dropping over 95% from its peak and the latter declining 77% within 7 months.
