Anthropic IPO document: Revenue of 16.3 billion USD in the first half of the year, future computing power commitments may reach 75 billion USD

According to IPO documents obtained by The Wall Street Journal, the artificial intelligence company Anthropic generated $16.3 billion in revenue in the first half of the year, compared to $1.1 billion in the same period last year; the net loss for the first half of the year was $80.7 billion, compared to $13 billion in the same period last year. Approximately $72 billion of the loss came from accounting expenses related to changes in the fair value of financing instruments such as convertible notes. The documents show that spending on computing power and infrastructure in the first half of the year was nearly $9 billion, with total related spending for 2025 projected at $7.3 billion. Over the next 7 to 10 years, cloud computing agreement spending is expected to be around $450 billion, with an additional commitment to pay over $160 billion for leasing Google chips. Future infrastructure spending commitments have exceeded $600 billion, and if agreements still under negotiation are included, this could increase by up to $150 billion. In the first half of the year, about 20% of revenue came from two customers, and the company expects future revenue to still rely significantly on a small number of clients. The documents also state that artificial intelligence models may pose real-world dangers, and the losses from catastrophic incidents may even be uninsurable, while the construction of data centers faces increasingly organized political resistance.

Strategy to join the "Invest in America Business Commitment" program will contribute $250 annually to employees' children's Trump accounts

According to a report by businesswire, Strategy announced its participation in the "Invest in America Commitment" program, which will contribute $250 annually to the Trump account (i.e., 530A account) for each eligible American employee's minor child, regardless of the child's birth year. For children born on or after January 1, 2025, there will also be an additional one-time matching contribution of $1,000 in seed funding provided by the U.S. government.Phong Le, President and CEO of Strategy, stated, "The Trump account and the Invest in America initiative can build a stronger financial future for American children. The company will match the government's initial $1,000 contribution and provide additional annual contributions for eligible employees' children. These accounts can encourage financial education, long-term thinking, and the cultivation of a savings and investment culture from a young age—these goals are highly consistent with Strategy's values and optimistic vision for the future."The Trump account is a tax-deferred investment account for minors under the age of 18, with investment targets being low-fee U.S. index funds. Children born between 2025 and 2028 can receive a one-time $1,000 seed funding from the U.S. Treasury upon registration. Strategy's program will launch after the Treasury issues final guidance and the employer contribution infrastructure is online. The company has announced the plan to employees during internal quarterly meetings and will share registration details with eligible employees before the launch.

hot_img The five major tech giants have not started their data center leasing commitments, accumulating a total of $1.09 trillion, which is nearly four times their confirmed liabilities

According to an analysis by Reuters of LSEG data and company filings, Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, Amazon, and Alphabet have committed to future payments of approximately $1.09 trillion in uncommenced lease obligations, primarily for AI data centers, which is about four times their confirmed lease liabilities (approximately $285 billion). These commitments have not yet been included on the balance sheet but have been disclosed in the notes to the financial statements. Among them, Microsoft disclosed the largest amount, reaching $329.1 billion; Meta disclosed $278.99 billion and signed an additional $68 billion in new leases in July; Oracle disclosed $260 billion, nearly seven times its confirmed liabilities, with lease terms generally ranging from 15 to 19 years, and the company has warned that it may face risks if customers do not renew or are unable to fulfill their obligations; Alphabet and Amazon disclosed $85.2 billion and $137.21 billion, respectively. The analysis points out that if the demand for AI computing power continues to grow, these facilities will support the next phase of cloud business expansion; if demand falls short of expectations, companies may be forced to pay high costs for large amounts of long-term idle capacity. S&P Global Ratings has included the uncommenced leases of companies like Oracle in its adjusted debt forecasts. This data highlights the potential long-term financial pressure that the expansion of AI infrastructure brings to tech giants.

first_img Cap team responds to Stabledrop controversy, admits early commitment errors and clarifies insider rumors

In response to the recent market controversy regarding the reduction of Stabledrop shares, Cap founder Benjamin issued a statement of apology and provided a detailed response. He stated that the team prematurely committed to an airdrop scale of 11 million before the funding was fully secured, but subsequent changes in the market environment led to a fundraising amount that fell short of expectations, resulting in the actual airdrop pool shrinking to 4.2 million. To avoid substantial principal losses for early YT (Yield Token) holders, the team temporarily adjusted the originally planned linear distribution scheme to a "capital protection but no profit" restructuring model, ensuring that no one incurs losses. This rule applies equally to all wallets. Meanwhile, in response to community concerns about a related whale address allegedly engaging in "internal score manipulation," Benjamin clarified that the wallet belongs to a former colleague and is not operated by the team, and that project treasury funds have not been utilized. Additionally, he emphasized that the Cap protocol is still operating healthily, and the decline in TVL that occurred over the weekend was mainly due to the surge in USDM lending rates on Aave for MegaETH, causing arbitrageurs to exit, which is unrelated to this airdrop incident. All redemptions have been processed smoothly.
