The reward range for Gate Card points has been expanded, allowing card usage to unlock gold stablecoins and popular tokenized stock assets

According to official news, Gate will upgrade the Gate Card points reward program on August 14, 2026. After the upgrade, the assets that can be redeemed with Gate Card points will expand from primarily supporting USDT and GT to include USDT, GT, BTC, ETH, GUSD, as well as tokenized stock assets such as NVDAG, AAPLG, GOOGLG, SPCXG, TSLAG, MUG, SNDKG, and SKHYG, corresponding to Nvidia, Apple, Google, SpaceX, Tesla, Micron Technology, SanDisk, and SK Hynix. The newly added tokenized stock assets cover several popular fields such as AI, semiconductors, and consumer technology. After earning points through eligible daily spending, users can redeem mainstream crypto assets like BTC and ETH according to their preferences, or they can redeem corresponding tokenized stock assets like Nvidia, Apple, Tesla, and SpaceX. In addition, Gate Card points will also support the redemption of gold-backed stablecoins (XAUT), effectively enriching users' options for point redemption.The redemption ratio for Gate Card points remains at 100 points = 1 USDT equivalent asset, and points are permanently valid, with other core rules unchanged. Users can still earn cashback points through eligible Gate Card spending, with the cashback ratio continuing to be calculated based on the user's T0--T5 / VIP level. This upgrade will not affect the existing point acquisition mechanism but will provide users with more asset choices at the redemption end, expanding the application scenarios for Gate Card points. By upgrading the points reward program, Gate Card will further connect payment consumption with asset accumulation, offering users richer rights options and a more flexible asset management experience.

According to a report by Cryptonomist, GSR's market director Spencer Hallarn stated in an interview that the hype around tokenization has surpassed the actual usage on many platforms. The issue lies not in the market's demand for tokenized assets, but in the design of the platforms themselves. He pointed out that many walled garden-style tokenization platforms with strict KYC requirements generally lack meaningful trading volume, as cumbersome access and compliance processes limit activity.Hallarn believes that the real opportunity is not in tokenizing for the sake of tokenization, but in fixing the underlying pipelines of traditional banking and settlement systems, specifically the infrastructure for transferring funds and assets between institutions. This would make tokenization more of an infrastructure repair rather than merely a narrative of crypto products.He also mentioned that the stagnation in the crypto market this year is largely due to funds shifting towards AI infrastructure, with large tech companies raising substantial amounts of capital for AI infrastructure through equity financing, tightening the liquidity of various assets, and crypto is no exception. Its clients are also shifting from chasing short-term momentum to long-term budget planning, over-the-counter hedging, and RWA. If AI investment cools down and the Federal Reserve lowers interest rates, liquidity is expected to improve and support Bitcoin prices.

According to the Q2 2026 report released by the Safe Ecosystem Foundation on Wednesday, Safe smart accounts processed nearly 130 million transactions in the second quarter, setting a quarterly historical record with a 5.7% quarter-over-quarter growth. The total number of accounts reached 63.4 million, a year-on-year increase of 20%, and the monthly active accounts in June rose to 2.73 million. The transaction volume in April alone reached 55.4 million, the highest in history. The quarterly transfer amount reached $39.3 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8%, and the self-custodied assets at the end of the quarter amounted to $27.24 billion (including $6.48 billion in stablecoins), with project revenue of $1.98 million, a year-on-year increase of 42%.Co-founder Lukas Schor stated that Safe is evolving from a mere asset holding tool to a broader range of use cases, with usage continuing to grow at a compound rate in a weak market. The Safenet Beta, launched on April 2, attracted 54.8 million SAFE staked (with 539 stakers) in its first quarter and has checked over 500,000 transactions, operated by six validators including Greenfield and Gnosis.
