first_img A memo from allies of Trump names Anthropic CEO, viewing him as a representative of the AI apocalypse theory

Axios reported that allies of Trump are attacking Dario Amodei, the CEO of the artificial intelligence company Anthropic, as a representative of the "doomsday" narrative surrounding artificial intelligence and one of the founders of the effective altruism movement. Sources say that during the midterm elections, allies may target Anthropic when countering his warnings about AI safety; due to his political stance and concerns about AI safety, he is seen as an easy target. This is concerning for investors as the company is preparing for an anticipated record-breaking initial public offering. The report states that a memo began circulating internally within the White House this week, attempting to portray effective altruism as a fringe, cult-like group detached from mainstream America, with Axios claiming to have obtained the document. The memo was written by a Trump political advisor not currently employed by the White House, stating that effective altruism "has established a doomsday pipeline for artificial intelligence," placing Amodei at the foundational position of the movement, while also mentioning his sister, Daniela Amodei, president of Anthropic, referring to these connections as "Anthropic nodes." A source close to the government said that Amodei embodies an ideology and globalist innovation path that contradicts the president's "America First" agenda.Anthropic has been distancing itself from effective altruism. Daniela Amodei stated in a 2025 Wired report that she does not agree with the term. Dario Amodei has insisted in interviews that he is not a member of the movement and has promoted the benefits of artificial intelligence.

Bitget launched GetAgent 2.0, enhancing cross-market analysis and dynamic tracking capabilities

Bitget has upgraded its AI assistant GetAgent to version 2.0, expanding the scope of AI research from the cryptocurrency market to include U.S. stocks, CFDs, and on-chain data scenarios, forming a cross-market research framework that covers various assets such as cryptocurrency, U.S. stocks, gold, and crude oil. Users can complete market inquiries, opportunity screening, position diagnostics, and trade reviews through natural language, and combine relevant market data, events, and fundamental information to obtain structured analysis that includes key price levels, participation conditions, risk boundaries, and conditions for judgment failure. In terms of functional interaction, this upgrade further enhances GetAgent's continuous research capabilities. Users can set up regular reports, event reminders, and continuously track market changes based on specific conditions, extending AI from one-time Q&A to ongoing market research and dynamic tracking, transforming fragmented market observations into coherent trading plans. As an important part of Bitget's Agent-native strategy, GetAgent 2.0 is evolving from an information inquiry tool to a continuous research assistant. As UEX covers more cryptocurrency assets and traditional financial markets, GetAgent will also serve as the corresponding intelligent research layer, providing users with cross-asset analysis, regular reports, and continuous market tracking capabilities.

first_img Samsung Electronics adjusts the next-generation DRAM roadmap, naming B1b as D0a

According to a report by ZDNet Korea, Samsung Electronics is adjusting its next-generation DRAM strategy by incorporating the previously project-based B1b into its official roadmap, naming it the first DRAM D0a below 10 nanometers. Previously, D0a referred to vertical transistor DRAM, and this product is now classified separately as D0a-V. This renaming aims to accelerate the introduction of advanced packaging in general DRAM.B1b will manufacture storage cells and peripheral driver circuits on different wafers before bonding them together, using wafer-to-wafer hybrid bonding and directly connecting through copper interconnects. The currently commercialized DRAM is 1c, which is the 6th generation 10 nanometer level, with a line width of about 11 to 12 nanometers; the next generation 1d is the 7th generation 10 nanometer level, with a line width of about 10 to 11 nanometers, considered effectively the last 10 nanometer level product, with the related line width being a marketing term rather than an actual physical size. Vertical transistors can arrange transistors within the cell vertically, reducing the cell area from 6F² to 4F², but they need to address high aspect ratio etching and leakage current, making development more challenging. Wafer-to-wafer hybrid bonding has already been mass-produced in CMOS image sensors and high-stacking NAND.Samsung Electronics is evaluating the use of B1b for the 8th generation high bandwidth memory HBM5. HBM5 is expected to be mass-produced around 2029, aiming to increase operating speed by more than 50% compared to HBM4E. Industry estimates suggest that D0a DRAM based on B1b will be commercially available in about two years, with specific mass production investment schedules likely to be determined by mid-next year.

Upbit's parent company Dunamu has undergone changes in its stock swap transaction with NAVER: it may face conflicts regarding regulatory shareholding limits

According to a report by the Korean News Agency, the stock exchange transaction between Upbit's parent company Dunamu and NAVER Pay, a subsidiary of South Korean internet giant NAVER, may have uncertainties. Data disclosed by the Legislative Investigation Office of the Korean National Assembly indicates that the related transaction may simultaneously face the minimum shareholding ratio for subsidiaries stipulated by the Fair Trade Act, as well as the maximum shareholding ratio limit for major shareholders of virtual asset exchanges.Currently, NAVER Pay does not seem to belong to a holding company, but if it becomes a holding company in the future and includes the exchange as a subsidiary, there may be a situation where two conflicting shareholding standards apply simultaneously, necessitating an adjustment of the governance structure. The Korean Fair Trade Act stipulates that a holding company's shareholding ratio in listed subsidiaries must not be less than 30%, and for non-listed subsidiaries, it must not be less than 50%; for venture capital holding companies, it is 20%. Additionally, the second phase of discussions on South Korean virtual asset legislation also involves setting a shareholding limit for major shareholders of exchanges to reduce the concentration of control and the risk of conflicts of interest among specific shareholders.

first_img Tonkeeper has been renamed Keeper, supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum, and 7 other networks

TON ecosystem self-custody wallet Tonkeeper announced its rebranding to Keeper and expanded from a single TON wallet to a multi-chain wallet supporting 7 blockchain networks. According to a statement disclosed exclusively to The Block, Keeper now supports TON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and Base. Tonkeeper claims to be the largest self-custody wallet in the TON ecosystem, with over 77 million registered users.Andrew Rogozov, founder and CEO of The Open Platform, stated that Keeper is the next chapter, aiming to bring the wallet experience known for its simplicity from TON to a broader crypto economy, with the goal of creating the default self-custody wallet for a multi-chain world, allowing users to freely hold, trade, and spend across any chain. This rebranding follows changes in the management of Tonkeeper, as The Open Platform took over the operational leadership of the wallet last month, while co-founders Oleg Andreev and Oleg Illarionov remain shareholders.Keeper also includes a gas-free transaction infrastructure called Battery, which allows users to pay network fees without holding the native gas tokens of each chain. The Open Platform plans to expand Battery to all supported networks within the next year and launch native DeFi services, daily payment tools, cross-chain exchanges, a built-in decentralized application browser, and more financial products such as perpetual contract trading.
