Coincheck receives a strategic investment of 65 million dollars from Japanese telecom giant KDDI
Nasdaq-listed company Coincheck Group announced a strategic investment and business cooperation agreement with Japanese telecom giant KDDI Corporation. KDDI will purchase 28,536,516 newly issued common shares of Coincheck Group at a price of $2.28 per share, with a total transaction amount of approximately $65 million. JPMorgan acted as the financial advisor, while De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal advisors. It is reported that both parties will collaborate to expand in the digital asset market, including revenue sharing and referral reward mechanisms.
