South Asia Plastics announces a price increase of 20% to 25% for CCL and Prepreg, effective September 1
The Nanya Plastics Electronic Materials Division has issued a price increase notice due to a severe imbalance in supply and demand in the global electronic materials market, with core raw material prices continuously rising across the board. The shortage of glass fabric is particularly severe, and procurement costs are uncontrollably rising. The company has decided to increase the prices of copper foil substrates (CCL) and prepreg by 20% to 25%, effective September 1. This is one of the larger-scale price adjustments in the upstream materials industry for PCBs recently. Copper foil substrates are core raw materials for printed circuit boards, and their price fluctuations will directly impact the PCB and downstream electronic terminal industries. The notice is based on the shipping date and will take effect from September 1. Nanya Plastics stated that it will continue to monitor supply chain dynamics and respond to changes in the market environment.
