The P2P platform Peer claims to support buying and selling USDC via Alipay, but Alipay calls it untrue

P2P cryptocurrency trading platform Peer announced that its beta version now supports users to buy and sell USDC using Alipay in Renminbi. Users can pay sellers in Renminbi to purchase USDC or sell USDC and receive Renminbi through Alipay, with the USDC locked in an on-chain custody contract during the transaction, released after payment verification.

Peer stated that since August 21, 45 buyers have completed 107 related orders, with a transaction volume of approximately $7,094. Alipay's official response stated that Alipay does not support virtual currency trading and related services, and claims by third-party platforms that Alipay supports cryptocurrency purchases are false and unauthorized, reminding users to be cautious about their funds and account security.
