Gate WCTC S9 Global Trading Competition officially begins, global traders gather for a cross-asset showdown

According to official news, the Gate WCTC S9 Global Trading Competition officially starts on October 9, 2026, at 16:00 (UTC+8). This competition is themed "Crossing Asset Boundaries, Reaching the Pinnacle of Trading," with a super prize pool of up to 6,000,000 USDT. The prize pool will be dynamically unlocked based on the number of valid traders during the event, providing global users with a comprehensive trading experience covering team competitions, individual rankings, event contract PK, lucky launchpad, and multi-business interactions.

Users can automatically register by logging into Gate and entering the WCTC event page. The registration channel will open from October 9 at 16:00 to October 26 at 16:00 (UTC+8). The competition covers various products including spot, ETF, flash exchange, stocks, contracts, and TradFi, and connects different asset tracks through a unified trading volume conversion mechanism, offering more flexible and diverse competition methods for participants with different trading preferences.

The WCTC competition period is from October 26 at 16:00 to November 25 at 16:00 (UTC+8). As the core competition format of this WCTC, the team competition has a prize pool of up to 3,200,000 USDT. Participants can create or join teams, and each team must have at least 1 captain and 4 members to complete the formation. The team competition is divided into two halves, with the first phase from October 26 to November 10 and the second phase from November 10 to 25. Each phase will set rankings based on total platform trading volume, CFD trading volume, and profits, with independent statistics and rewards. The same team can compete in multiple leaderboards, and the team with the highest total trading volume across both phases will have its captain awarded a gold medal worth 30,000 USDT.

The individual competition also has a prize pool of up to 400,000 USDT. After completing registration, users can have their valid trading volume from spot, ETF, flash exchange, stocks, contracts, and TradFi products counted towards their individual rankings according to the event rules. Users who accumulate a trading volume of 20,000 USDT can enter the individual total trading volume leaderboard, where the top 300 participants can share the unlocked prize pool according to their rankings, while users ranked from 301 to 1,000 will have the opportunity to receive contract position experience vouchers, allowing participants of different trading scales to compete for corresponding honors and rewards.

In addition to traditional trading rankings, WCTC S9 also introduces BTC/USDT event contract PK gameplay, with a maximum prize pool of 400,000 USDT. The system will initiate a round of random matching every 30 minutes, allowing users to participate in a continuous 5-minute BTC/USDT price fluctuation event contract market during the match. Each market with a net profit greater than zero will count as a victory, and the system will determine the match result based on the number of victories for both sides and calculate corresponding points. By combining short-cycle market judgment, random battles, and point rankings, this gameplay enhances the interactivity and competitive rhythm of the event, allowing users who meet trading volume and participation conditions to compete for leaderboard rewards based on accumulated PK points.

This event also launches the WCTC Lucky Launchpad, with a total prize pool of 725,000 USDT.
