Hyperscale Data sold 685 BTC for 43 million dollars to expand its data center in Michigan
According to PR Newswire, AI data center company Hyperscale Data (NYSE: GPUS) announced that it has completed the sale of approximately 685 bitcoins, cashing out about 43 million dollars at recent market prices.
The funds will primarily be used for the ongoing development and expansion of the Michigan data center, while repaying approximately 30 million dollars in debt to optimize the capital structure. After the sale, the company still holds about 275 bitcoins. The company's Executive Chairman Todd Ault stated that this move is part of a capital allocation decision and not a abandonment of the long-term bitcoin accumulation strategy. The company will continue to engage in bitcoin mining and plans to gradually rebuild its bitcoin holdings over time.
