WebX 2026 will open on July 13 in Tokyo: Focusing on the organic integration of Japan's Web3 and TradFi under the new policy
Japan has entered a new stage of compliance development and institutional participation in digital assets, and WebX 2026 will once again land in Tokyo.
This conference is expected to attract over 15,000 attendees and will invite top representatives from the global finance, technology, and government sectors to give speeches.
Asia's leading Web3 conference, WebX 2026, will be held from July 13 to 14, 2026, at the Prince Park Tower Tokyo. The conference will gather global decision-makers to explore the next phase of digital and financial innovation. Last year, WebX attracted over 14,000 attendees and hosted more than 170 peripheral events across Tokyo.
WebX is hosted by CoinPost, a leading media outlet in Japan's cryptocurrency sector, and has developed into a core platform connecting industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to promote collaboration in the digital asset and technology ecosystem. This two-day conference, themed "Beyond the Screen, Connecting Nodes," will cover keynote speeches, roundtable forums, exhibitions, and carefully curated social events, aiming to facilitate meaningful partnerships and support the long-term development of the industry.
The theme is inspired by "nodes" in decentralized networks, reflecting WebX's core mission—to establish genuine offline connections and build an ever-expanding ecosystem of ideas, collaboration, and innovation to drive technological advancement.
Supporting Japan's Long-term Digital Transformation Process
The 2026 conference comes at a critical time for Japan's technology and finance landscape. Recent advancements in regulatory policies, including the clear classification of cryptocurrency assets as financial instruments, mark a maturing market environment that not only enhances investor confidence but also further strengthens standards for fairness, transparency, and consumer protection.
WebX CEO Ryo Sakai stated, "In recent years, Japan has taken pragmatic and steady measures to advance its digital transformation strategy. We are entering a phase where regulations are becoming clearer, which is expected to release greater space for institutional participation and broaden access to growth capital. In this context, WebX is evolving from a conference into a platform—bringing together the industry, policymakers, and investors to collectively shape the next phase of responsible innovation."
Under a more defined regulatory framework, WebX 2026 will provide a timely dialogue platform for all stakeholders to engage in practical discussions on topics such as infrastructure development, governance enhancement, and sustainable market growth.
Sakai added, "As the ecosystem matures, the focus of discussions is shifting from early experimental explorations to long-term infrastructure and market stability. These topics will also be central to the 2026 conference."
