The U.S. prosecutors are seeking a 5-year prison sentence for Samourai Wallet founders Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill, citing their long-term operation of an unregistered cryptocurrency mixing service that assisted in laundering at least $237 million, including proceeds from crimes such as drugs, the dark web, hacking, and illegal content. The two pleaded guilty in July and will be sentenced separately this week.
