According to The Block, Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin confirmed a security incident and temporarily suspended user deposits and withdrawals, while stating that customer assets were not affected.

Previously, blockchain security company Hypernative detected over $40 million in suspicious transfers across multiple blockchain networks. According to local media BitNotícias, the related abnormal fund flows may be linked to this security incident.
