The United States has completed the final batch of the global agreement to lend 40 million barrels of crude oil

The U.S. government announced that oil companies have agreed to borrow about 40 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which is the last batch committed by the U.S. under the global agreement. The agreement aims to stabilize fuel prices and involves Gunvor, Trafigura Trading, Phillips 66, and Vitol. In March of this year, the U.S. agreed to lend 172 million barrels of crude oil, and the size of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve has fallen to its lowest level since 1982.
