Elliptic: North Korea's cryptocurrency theft has exceeded 1.2 billion dollars this year

According to Insurance Journal, blockchain analysis company Elliptic disclosed that it has tracked over 50 security incidents related to North Korea, with a total of approximately $1.2 billion stolen this year.

Some of the stolen funds from Bitget overlap with the associated addresses from last year's $1.5 billion theft incident at Bybit exchange. Initial on-chain money laundering patterns indicate that the Bitget incident was carried out by the hacker organization TraderTraitor.
