El Salvador will launch the digital dollar application Sivar, supporting the receipt, transfer, and holding of stablecoins on the Base network
The Salvadoran government is collaborating with Modveon to develop a government-supported application called Sivar, allowing the public to send, receive, and hold dollar-pegged stablecoins through Coinbase's Base network, and supporting remittances. The application will verify user identities through government-issued identification.
