Morpho founder proposed vault classification, Aave founder called it self-serving

The founder of Morpho, Paul Frambot, proposed a classification scheme suggesting that on-chain vaults be divided into "noncustodial" and "discretionary" categories to clearly define their nature to regulatory authorities.

This proposal was immediately opposed by Aave founder Stani Kulechov, who called the classification "self-serving." Several vault developers also raised concerns, arguing that the timelock mechanism does not truly eliminate the role of the manager.
