AI financial institution Catena received conditional approval from OCC to establish a trust bank
On September 18, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) granted preliminary conditional approval for the establishment of Catena Trust Bank, N.A. (under construction), a financial institution aimed at AI agents.
Once full approval is obtained, the bank will provide custodial digital asset custody, investment management, and trust services under OCC supervision.
