The trading volume of South Korean crypto CEX surged by 188.04% week-on-week

The total trading volume of the five major South Korean crypto CEXs (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, DigitalX, GOPAX) reached approximately 31.1 trillion won (about 23 billion USD) during the week from August 21 to 28, a staggering increase of 188.04% compared to the previous week's 10.8 trillion won, marking the highest level in nearly 10 months since late October 2025.

In terms of exchange market share, Upbit maintained the first position with 59.61%, while Bithumb ranked second with 33.11%; the renamed DigitalX (formerly Korbit) saw a significant increase in market share from 3.477% to 4.21%, surpassing Coinone (3.05%) to rise to third place, achieving the highest market share for the platform in nearly 20 weeks.
