According to CoinDesk, Binance co-founder Zhao Changpeng (CZ) and He Yi used the cartoon characters from "The Simpsons," with the aliases "Homer" and "Marge," in company meetings and internal communications. He Yi currently serves as co-CEO of Binance alongside Richard Teng, and according to people who have worked with her at Binance, she still uses the alias "Marge" in meetings and chats. The skin color of the Simpsons characters is yellow, which coincidentally echoes the corporate primary color scheme of Binance's logo and marketing.

CZ resigned as CEO of Binance in November 2023, after the U.S. Department of Justice charged him with violating the Bank Secrecy Act. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four months in prison in April 2024. In October 2025, President Trump granted him a pardon. According to Forbes data, Zhao Changpeng is the richest person in Canada, with a net worth of approximately $111.1 billion as of April 2026. He Yi previously served as Binance's Chief Marketing Officer for a long time and has been the head of YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) since August 2022.
