Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm's re-examination date is set, and he will appear in court again this fall
According to The Rage, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) has approved the government's pre-trial plan, confirming that a retrial of Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm for conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to evade sanctions will take place this fall.
Meanwhile, the Rule 29 post-trial motion filed by Storm is still awaiting a court ruling. This motion challenges the evidence and legal theories that were the basis for last August's conviction, and if the ruling is favorable to Storm, it may prevent the retrial from proceeding.
