Institution: December non-farm data weakness may reignite recession discussions

According to Jinshi News, Todd Schoenberger, Chief Investment Officer of Washington Crossley Management, stated that the December employment report puts a period on 2025, filled with uncertainty, and weak labor market data may bring recession discussions back to Wall Street.

On the other hand, the weak data provides a basis for the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates again at the meeting in a few weeks, and the stock market's response to rise is reasonable, as traders view the Fed's decision as a booster for the market.
