The on-chain asset management protocol Range has launched the intention-centric general application layer Skate and is gradually transitioning its brand to Skate Chain

2024-04-03 19:08:00

ChainCatcher news, the on-chain asset management protocol Range Protocol announced the launch of the intent-driven universal application layer Skate. Additionally, Range Protocol co-founder and CEO Siddharth Lalwani stated on the X platform that Range Protocol will gradually evolve into Skate Chain, and his social media profile has now been updated to "Skate co-founder and CEO."

Skate aims to address the issue of application fragmentation in a multi-chain environment, serving as a single hub for on-chain code deployment. In addition to the underlying interoperability network, Skate will connect with other blockchains through a Fast Finality Network protected by EigenLayer's Active Verification Services (AVS), enabling intent-driven cross-chain instant settlement. Skate is set to launch its mainnet in 2024, with a testnet activity featuring incentive mechanisms rolling out to community members in the coming months.

Previously reported, the on-chain asset management protocol Range Protocol completed a $3.75 million seed round financing last September, co-led by HashKey Capital and Nomad Capital.
