Slow Fog Cosine: The initial investigation into the Orbit Bridge theft rules out a private key issue, leaning more towards a vulnerability in the bridge or related centralized server problems

2024-01-01 19:19:24

ChainCatcher message, Slow Mist founder Cosine posted on X platform that Orbit Bridge was hacked with losses of at least $81.5 million. Preliminary analysis suggests that it was not a direct theft of private keys (although this possibility cannot be completely ruled out), but rather a vulnerability in the bridge or issues with related centralized servers that allowed the attacker to deceive these private keys (7/10) for Withdraw. Cosine also mentioned that specific details can be checked at the hacker's address and pointed out that the hacker had been preparing for this two days ago.
