ChainCatcher news, the interoperability project Interlay announced the launch of a Bitcoin-based L2 minimum viable product (MVP), which introduces Rust smart contracts to achieve compatibility with the Lightning Network and Ordinals.

Interlay co-founder Alexei Zamyatin stated in a statement: "Our goal is to enable developers to create truly decentralized applications and innovate on top of the existing Bitcoin stack, including Lightning, Ordinals, and Nostr."
